
KNUST Signs a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) With Ghana Telecom University College
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has recently been signed between KNUST and Ghana Telecom University College (GTUC).
The MOU seeks to strengthen the collaboration between KNUST and GTUC as strategic partners in Science and Technology to move the nation forward.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K. K. Adarkwa, in his remarks assured GTUC that KNUST has the capacity to develop structures that would be beneficial to them.
He added that KNUST is more than willing to help review programmes that are currently being run in GTUC as specified in the MOU and assured them of KNUST’s in the event of problems that may be encountered.
In a statement made by Dr. Osei Dakwa, the president of GTUC, he said that the “educational needs of our nation is great, and urgent, and require a radical rethinking of traditional ways by which we provide education to the broad mass of Ghanaians”.
He added that their affiliation with KNUST opens a new chapter that would enhance academic standards at their university, promote academic and research co-operation, capacity building, faculty exchange, information and best practices.
He also took the opportunity to thank the College of Engineering for helping in all aspects of the MOU.
Present at the MOU were the Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. W.O. Ellis, the Registrar, Mr. Kobby Yebo-Okrah, Provost of the College of Engineering, Prof. F Y Momade and other senior members of KNUST and GTUC.
