The GTUC Faculty of Telecom Engineering has a long and illustrious history as it traces its roots to the pre birth era of the university. It was established in March 2006 with the  mission : “To be the premier Telecommunications Engineering Faculty in Ghana and the sub-region of West Africa, the first choice for undergraduate and post-graduate students,  to attract best quality academic staff and research personnel,   and be ranked and benchmarked with the World’s best Telecommunications Engineering Faculties”.

The Faculty enjoys extensive contacts with staff and students at the university and is  working in strategic alliance with a range of educational institutions to learn best practices.
