To apply for admission in our degree programmes, a student must submit the appropriate application forms, fees, and transcripts to the university's Undergraduate Office of Admissions, which prescreens each application. The Department Admissions officers then review the application, and make the final decision as to whether to accept or reject the applicant.
Eligibility for Admission
To be eligible for admission into the programme, the applicant must have the following:
- Complete an application for admission form and a non-refundable application fee in cash, cheque, or banker’s draft.
- Submit an official result slip or certificate
- Submit an official transcript from a previous institution of learning, if applicant intends including the transcripts as part of his/her application documents. Hand-delivered transcripts are not acceptable.
- The applicant needs a pass in six subjects with an aggregate grade score of 20 or better in the Senior Secondary School Certificate, including core English, core Integrated Science and Mathematic, or
- Passes at the advanced level of GCE in 3 subjects out of which at least one must be of grade C or better.
Mature Students
a. A matured student applicant must
i. Be at least 25 years
ii Have a relevant professional or work experience, or
iii. Have authored some work in relevant field.
b. The applicant must also pass the Matured Students Entrance Examination, which comprises of:
i. Papers in Mathematics and English language for those who do not have GCE O Level passes in these subjects.
ii. General Paper (including a section of English language, mathematics and current affairs)
iii. Special paper to test standard of achievement to subjects relevant to the programmes for which candidate is seeking admission.

Professional Qualification
These include:
- Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) from an accredited Polytechnic
- Foundation level of Professional certificate i.e. Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chartered Institute of Bankers, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, etc.
- Private Secretaryship
- RSA/LCC; GBCE/ABCE, 5 passes stage II, 3 passes Stage III.
- Post- Diploma Degree etc.
Candidates with GCE Ordinary level or SSSCE plus any of the following qualifications will be admitted to level 100 but may qualify for exemption to level 200.
- Diploma from a recognized university
- Diploma in Bilingual Secretaryship from an accredited institution.
- Higher National Diploma with 2 years work experience (at least a Second Class Upper Division).
- Transfer from a recognized university.
- Intermediate stage of a professional certificate, for example ICA part II with at least 2 years work experience.
In exceptional cases, applicants with advanced professional certificates such as ICA Part III, may qualify for exemption to level 300.
Foreign Students
Foreign students may be considered for admission if they hold qualifications equivalent to those stated above, provided they are proficient in English Language.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to graduate, students must complete the specific degree requirements of the Faculty as listed below:

Students must complete a minimum of 140 credit hours.

Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of C. This includes core/required courses, elective courses, internship, and project work.

Students are expected to complete the requirements for their Bachelor of Science degree within six years of admission to the Faculty. Students are allowed to continue beyond this time period only at the discretion of the Dean.

Students must file an application with the Faculty office by December 10 for May graduation and August 15 for December graduation.
